Definition of MSME
According to the latest notification published on 1st June 2020, the Central Government notifies the following criteria for the classification of micro, small, and Medium enterprises vie.-
1. A micro Enterprise is the one, wherein, the investment in the form of machinery and equipment does not exceed 1 crore rupees and the turnover doesn’t exceed five crore rupees.
2. A small Enterprise signifies an industry where the investment does not go beyond 10 crore rupees and the turnover doesn’t exceed fifty crore rupees.
3. A medium enterprise signifies an industry wherein the investment is within the limit of fifty crores and the turnover does not exceed two hundred and fifty crore rupees.
